My name is Amesyas Solomon and I was born on December 17, 1976. I am a proud Ethiopian living in Addis Abeba. After finishing High School I went to work in a metal shop where I learned alot about life and the need to focus on my talents and managing my life properly. I new I had to do something in music and started DJ'ing shortly afterwards.
Every since I was a child, I would always write lyrics and poetry and try to sing songs from Neway Debebe or Muluken Melesse. I view both of these artists and their styles inspiration for my own career and learned so much about music by listening to them.
I like to bring a very personal touch to music. I write songs that express my innermost feelings. I also like to have my friends join in the production of my music. Music, for me is like a family affair and the joy that we can produce should be shared by others. This is why in the long run, my ambition is to perform all over the world sharing Ethiopia's proud culture with others.

Amesyas is a quiet but talented brother who walked up to one of our producers one day and said "I want to either sing or DJ for you". We inviting him into the studio and have been working with him every since.
What is most impressive about him is his work ethic. He is very dedicated to his art and that is something that will take him a long way in this profession.
You can also hear touches of his musical influences in his singing style. The impact is subtle enough to hear a true Amesyas singiing without being overshadowed as somebody else's clone. We expect his first album to debut in January 2006 and will be booking him for a number of performances starting from late December 2005.
